What is the loss of power brake?
The power loss brake provides a safe, stop and/or hold when there is no electric load. The magnetic field (electromagnet) assembly is fixed, and the rotor assembly is fixed on the shaft to prevent rotation. When the equipment is stopped, the fixed part and the rotating part are engaged, so as to stop and/or bear the load. When the coil is energized, the rotating parts are separated, so that the shaft can rotate freely.
Generally speaking, the actual start and/or stop time depends on application variation, manufacturing tolerance and friction material wear. Consult the factory to evaluate actual usage before applying specific values to the application.
